Birthday Recap: The Skinny Confidential Style

A lil peak inside my birthday…
The night before my BD we headed to my parent’s for a delicious, home-cooked meal ( & OMFG! Julie baked the most insane, organic mini cupcakes! ). We celebrated with my family, cousins, & Pixy.
On my actual birthday, I did whatever the hell I wanted. It started with an intense Pilates Proformer class with my girlfriend, who set up the studio with chocolate stuffed raspberries, strawberries, orchids, & a candle. Such a sweet surprise!

After our workout we headed over to Whole Foods. I have a severe addiction to their ‘Sunshine Kale Salad’ & the ‘California Quinoa.’ Annnnnd our local WF serves champagne…so what’s a birthday girl to do?
Duh. Enjoy a glass.
…along with a few added splashes of Synergy’s Kombucha ( the ‘Maqui Berry Mint is to die for ). Champs + Kombucha= the best thing ever.
A workout & champagne before 3 pm?
Win.
After that my God mom set up a lovely table of the most thoughtful goodies & I hung out with the most gorgeous girl in the world ( Pixy ) while blogging. Later that night Michael & I went to dinner at the most amazing restaurant, Mister A’s ( if you’re ever in San Diego, try it & thank me later ).

Seriously the food was spot on. I started with their organic vegetable salad full of purple cauliflower, lettuce, tomatoes, & broccolini. The salad was dressed in organic ( yes, organic ) dressing! So delish. And then for the entrée I had the vegetarian medley: pesto risotto, sliced zuccini with fresh marinara sauce, & a beet salad. For cocktails: a basil, cucumber gin-infused martini.
Win again.
Then we went home & watched Mary Poppins…
Ya, like the “spoonful of sugar” Mary Poppins.
Team normal…? IDK.
Anyway, my birthday was relaxing & beautiful! Thanks to everyone who made it special. Enjoy the pics! xx.L
P.S. Another Kombucha cocktail can be found here. And a big thanks to iTAN for my BD spray tan! X.
